Two individuals have been kidnapped following the tragic killing of Babcock University law professor Yinka Olomojobi in the Iperu area of Ogun State. The incident occurred when gunmen stormed the Ajadeh Event Centre on Sagamu Road around 9:20 pm on Friday.

The assailants, dressed in black, opened fire indiscriminately, causing panic among guests. They attempted to abduct the lecturer, but he resisted and was fatally shot in the chest. Another victim, identified as Dare, a manager at a car stand, was also targeted, and a third person remains unidentified.

The police have arrested a security guard recently hired at the event center for further investigation. The injured lecturer was rushed to Babcock University Teaching Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The police are actively pursuing the perpetrators and working to secure the release of the kidnapped victims. Further updates will follow as the situation progresses.
