Iran attacked Israel on Sunday morning with about 25 missiles, authorities said.

Emergency services were responding to “direct damage” to residential buildings in the Tel Aviv area and Israel’s coastal and central regions, the country’s fire service said.

There are also reports that a missile hit Haifa without tripping the air raid warning system, unusual for Israel’s air defences.

A second battery of missiles has been launched, Israel’s military said.
