Pastor Adeboye visits Alaafin of Oyo
The revered cleric’s visit to the royal palace was warmly received and described as a memorable occasion by many who witnessed the moment.
This visit comes just days after Pastor Adeboye shared a profound personal testimony during the June edition of the RCCG’s Holy Ghost Service, themed “Destined for Greatness (Part 2).” Speaking at the Redemption City of God in Ogun State, the revered man of God revealed how he received a divine warning that his firstborn son would die if he ever left the RCCG. He used the revelation to emphasize the importance of divine guidance and spiritual consistency, cautioning young Christians against frequently switching churches without a clear spiritual direction.
During his sermon, Pastor Adeboye referenced an earlier message delivered by his son, Pastor Leke Adeboye, lamenting the growing trend of believers moving from one congregation to another, often introducing themselves as first-time attendees in different churches. He stressed the need for steadfastness in faith and alignment with God’s purpose, drawing from his own experiences to reinforce the message.
The meeting between Pastor Adeboye and the Alaafin of Oyo not only strengthened the bond between the Christian community and traditional leadership but also served as a reminder of the enduring influence of faith and culture in Nigeria’s societal fabric.
