Fire has gutted popular Ibadan radio station, Fresh FM, owned by Nigerian gospel musician, Yinka Ayefele.

The incident reportedly occured on Friday evening with some staff of the station raising alarms in posts shared on their X handles.

The staff called for urgent intervention over the fire outbreak as the fire gradually intensifies.

“Fresh FM is currently on fire! We urgently need the Fire Service to respond immediately. Please retweet, spread the word and alert the nearest station.” One of the staff had posted.

As of the time of filing this report, the extent of the damage and possible casualties remain unclear with firefighters yet to issue an official response to the situation.
